I just moved to the Fredericton area and I'm in search of recommendations for good day trips (full and half-day) for some fall kayaking. I prefer rivers but I'm also happy doing some lake paddling as well.

Aw man, sometimes it's hard to tell other folks about popular rivers. I get folks asking me about such and such a river often enough, and I worry about giving them bad advice or hearsay. Especially when I don't know the guy, or have any idea of his paddling skills.
There's a search box on the bottom of this page, you can search a river name in this forum, or on the main Web.
Or try asking about a specific river, and asking for facts about it, rather than relying on a "recommendation." In the end, you'll have to decide where to go yourself using your own judgement, so the more you know, the better off you'll be.

One of the best trips I've done near Fredericton is paddling the Maquapit, French and Indian lakes east of town. I set in at both Jemseg (under the old highway bridge) and Lakeville Corner. I always wondered what it would be like to set in on the Little River at Highway 10.
