Looking for information on different rivers to paddle in NB. I normally canoe the halfmoon run in late May but I have concerns with water levels. Wondering if anyone would have some information on simular rivers in NB that might provide the same type of experience. 2nights, quick water and so on.
thanks, Rob

When everything else is low, the St. Croix is often the only river to choose. Not a tough trip compared to the Miramichi but it has enough moving water to keep things somewhat interesting.
It's dam controlled and normally water levels are not an issue for the weekends.

we ran the lower half of the eel yesterday morning. I wouldn't run it with less water (becaguimic is at 0.5 for reference).
Anyone who wanted to have a great run to learn to maneouver and scout lines would love this run. Last 5 corners were waterfull though, nice run ! Pete

Wondering about the NEPISIGUIT RIVER. I had heard this river may provide a long run with good rapids. Anyone know much about this river?

it's about 121 or so km from the Park to Badthirst. The last 20+km from below the Grand Falls dam to B. is very popular with kayakers, big stuff and an unrunnable falls or two.
