Has anyone ever paddled the Little River out past Noonan near Ripples area? I was recently trying to find areas to check out the river. I went quite a ways down the eighteen road, then took a small fourwheeler trail up and over hills through the thick woods... eventually I came to a section of the river that was stunning... 4wd is needed for this trail if anyone ends up on it as well. I'm not sure if there is a proper put in for this river, but from what I could see it would be a spectacular river to paddle.
N46 04 W66 15 I think this is the area I was able to get to on the river. Also, I saw a massive bull moose on the way in, and a young moose on the way out. Beautiful country for sure!
Hope someone out there has info on this river.
Cheers! David

I've put in off the Slope Road once from Minto, and several times off the road in from Durham. Both meet at the highest spot for a put-in, pretty well. It's a full day's paddle to the Route 10 bridge. There are no rapids, but there is quickwater here and there. Saw a white owl perched on a branch just overhead once.
Make sure the water is high enough to go down. You don't want to have to walk out, the whole area around there is pitted with strip mines.

We put in off the Rock rd I think it is called. It is just before New Zion. It is a good road until the last few hundred meters but you can still make it with a truck. You come to some settling ponds and a fenced in area on the Rock Rd. The road to the river is just behind this. Many locals run this river every spring. Dave on the board here can probably give you exact directions as he has run this many times.

Looking at the map it's hard to believe the Slope road goes into little river. Was thinking I could put in @ Lower Durham rd & go down to Rt 10. Anybody done this lately?
