I'm headed up to the NW Upsalquitch this weekend, June 5,6,7. I've heard this is one of the prettiest rivers in NB. We are putting in at 25 mile brook on Friday afternoon and taking out at the bridge at Upsalquitch on Sunday afternoon. I'm wondering about camping areas and if anyone has any recommendations.

Hey captbilly, welcome to the forum.
Check with Linda at ldmrt@yahoo.ca. She pops in here often, and the Upsalquitch is her home river.

I think I saw your crew on Sunday while you were floating past, I was in a blue Pontiac Vibe wagon. You had 3 canoes in your group? I almost waited down by the bridge to see if it was you, but like every other day off, I was in the middle of a million things(giving horse baths this time!).
Hope you had a great weekend and hope my info was helpful.

Hey Linda,
That was us, would have been nice to meet you. We met the other two boats along the way. Thank goodness since we lost a paddle and they had a spare, what a head wind on Sunday.Your comments were very helpful, thank you. This is definitely one of the nicest river runs in NB. I will be back with my fishing gear this summer.
Cheers

The stretch of water that runs through the village is a government stretch that you can get a 24 hr block of time to fish. There is a weekly draw that you can call in for. It's called the Berry Brook stretch. 24 hrs with 4 people and you get 10 kms of water to fish.
Glad you had fun, I should have stopped to chat with you and meet in person!
