Finally got a chance to run the Allagash River this last week. My father and I put in at Churhill Dam on Wednesday for a 4 day journey. The weather was perfect the whole trip...never got a drop of rain until we finished loading our gear into the truck at the end of the trip. The flys were quite thick for this time of year though. We had to sit in the campfire smoke each night as the fly dope did little to deter the blood suckers. Here are some pics of the trip. mitchellamos.spaces.live.com

Great pictures!
It looks like you had great weather. That elm tree seems to be popular as I have seen it in many pictures from the Allagash.
