Eh !
Thought I posted this earlier but I don't see the thread now.
Where are you allowed to fish with what on the Nashwaak? I heard spinning gear only below nothing up top, I heard reverse etc.
I bought my brain some fly gear and she wants to get out this weekend. Any tips? Thanks, Pete

the lower stretch from the mouth up to about the Penniac bridge is considered tidal, so there are no restrictions ... except don't use dynamite.
You may not fish near the mouths of Porter Brook and Youngs Brook. The Big Basin Pool is closed as well.
From July 1 on, fly fishing only from the Penniac Bridge upstream to the East Branch of the river.
See page 27 of this year's angling guide for more details.
I've been fishing around the mouth and haven't seen a fish yet this year.
Mmmmm ... maybe I should open a fishing topic board. If there are any more new fishing posts I will.
Pete, I thought you were going to get an icon, It's pretty lonely being the only icon boy here.

Hi Ken. I think a fishing board would be a good idea. I haven't done much fishing since I was a kid so I can't add much but I've been thinking of bringing the kids out. I do remember though that we used to sometimes give up on the lakes for the smaller streams feeding them. We had better luck there , and the fish are allways big when your a little kid. I'd like to know what kind of fish to expect where though, and how does everybody prefer to cook it. I'm not even sure i'd remember how to do that anymore.

Ken,
I'm in cyber limbo at the moment. We shut down our internet service down south in NH and so our personal web space from the URL below is now DOWN. I'm in the process of moving the site over to freddybeach.com but until then I won't have any online space ever to store a lowly avatar !
We ran the nashwaak yesterday afternoon from Penniac down. BEAUTIFULL day for it. Nick's wife's parents live right at the mouth which made it nice to get off. We'll have to get a little further up and get some fishing in this week. I've really got fishing fever lately.
River was flowing along quite well. Brown and churned up from the previous evenings storms.
Wonderfull trip to end a wonderfull weekend. Pete

Uh yeah, if y'all want a fishing forum, go to the link at the very bottom of this page and start your own NB fishing forum. Good luck!!!
