Ran the Keswick today with my buddy Mike. We were planning on putting in at Barton but could not figure out how to get to the put in. The only roads we found that led remotely close were no more than narrow wheeler trails. We ended up putting in here Dropped pin Near NB maps.app.goo.gl/JprhaW9sEqMX7yar9Had a good 3 hour run down to burtts corner. Mike got caught up in some branches early on and lost a paddle somewhere. So we limped along with a half a kayak paddle each for a few kilometers before a neighborly family lent us a paddle which we promptly returned when we reached the take out. Beautiful country out here but would like some insight into the route you take to get further upstream. Water level was at 5.4

Last time I went, we followed the atv trail on the old rail bed up to Barton. It was sketchy, there was still ice and snow on the trail. Another time we went way upriver to the Haystack Rock bridge. I wasn't driving, so I'm not sure of the route. It was behind Crabbe Mountain.

Thanks Ken. Guess I need a four wheel drive truck to access the put in at Barton. How long of run is it from the haystack bridge?
