So I did the Croix on the long weekend. It was wet but a lot of fun. But I ran into a problem. I rolled over a rock in my brand new, never been in the water disco 169. I would have expected a scratch on the bottom of the boat...instead, I got a crack about a foot and a half long in the stern. It didn't go right through...but it's a crack. I bought the boat from an outfitter and she is currently trying to get Old Town to remedy this for me. Has anyone run into dealings with Old Town in the past? I'm nervous....It's literally a brand new boat.

If you bought it with your credit card you should be covered for 90 days since purchase date for loss, theft or damage 100%. Speaking from experience lol.
If your CC or Old Town can't help you out a plastic welder and some polyethylene rods will close the crack up perfectly. I fixed my recovered 169 which was wrapped around a rock and had stress tears with this method. Of course this was after my CC paid me out for my 169 and I purchased a 17' Penobscott.
