Just finished a nice trip into Mactaquac to spend the night. Great spot to ski....free camping and firewood too. I posted some pics at my site. mitchellamos.spaces.live.com/Anyone else enjoying the snow so far?

Where did you get the tent Mitchell? I've been looking for a similar one (Military issue w/ stove) but haven't had much luck.
As far as enjoying the snow.... I haven't enjoyed the snow in the past 15yrs!
Now that I have kids I can go sledding and my oldest just started Xcountry skiing and I am going to join him. I've tried my best to influence global warming but I still can't make the snow go away, figure i'd make the best of it and get out and enjoy it.

I got the tent at Cabelas. Its the Alaknak II. I tried for quite a while to find a military tent but had no luck either.

If it's the one in elmsdale it's the "Highway 102 Surplus". 10 industrial way. Off of exit 8. I stopped there just last week. It's a fairly large store. Didn't notice any tents though they have a lot of stuff still in boxes, they were still going through it when I went. The lady working there was very helpful. She found me a good down sleeping bag, looks in pretty good shape. You might want to call before going since their stock seems to vary quickly. (902) 883-8882
I was looking for another that's supposedly in dartmouth but I couldn't find it. Maybe it's the same one.
