Paddled from Northern Harbour to Pendleton's Passage.
Left Northern Habour about an hour before High Tide ... made it to Pendleton just after the tide turned. The currents were strong so we stayed clear and turned back for home.
Tide dropped quickly on the way back to our starting spot so we decided to pull into a beach and have lunch.
Gorgeous day. Water was like glass and sound traveled better than any amphitheater could ever achieve. We could hear (and see) seals and porpoises all along the way.
Lots to see along the way ... crazy rock formations, salmon cages, isolated beaches full of driftwood and last year's fishing gear.
We'd been here a few times before so we cruised a bit faster than the area deserves. This same route has taken us five or six hours on previous outings.
