Anybody run the Miramichi lately or plan on running it soon? I'm curious as to how low the water is.
It's always low when we run it at the end of May but this year will likely be the worst.

We ran it at 2.0 in mid April, was good, lots of rock to dodge early, but easy after Burnthill. It's reading 1.0-1.1 right now, I think you'll be doing some walking. Good luck.

Yes , i was so eager to go that i took the chance . We left from 123 Friday noon with our kayaks .I got stuck twice for a few meters in the first 4 to 6 km ,while my wife managed to sneak true! After that with a bit of zig zaging water levels were alright and we had nice paddle. Had a rough enough time Sunday do from the end of the Cains to the Blackville bridge. The wind was some strong and right in our faces .We sure had to paddle that part but we still had a very good weekend ! and thanks for the info Ken water levels were still low! and i was very happy we took the kayaks and not the canoe for this run! next up St-Croix
