Hello All,
Wondering if anyone has run the Canaan river. I was thinking about a run on Aug long weekend from where the Coles Island Rd passes over the river, to Washademoak. I cant find any info on this though. Anyone have any info on this. I drove the coles Island last weekend and the water looked high enough. It looked like an awesome run so I was suprised I havent heard anything about it. There were only a few spots that you can really see though. My father said he thinks that people do it. Apparently it was an old route to Fredericton from Peticodiac River. Any advise would be great. Thanks JB

Our Scout group ran the river from the Bridge near the junction of Routes 885 and 112 to the TNT Campground a few years ago in late May. We had about 35 people in total.
It was a trip which we had to paddle. There was not much current to carry us along particularly as we got closer to Washademoak Lake. At that tme of year there were good water levels.
We heard the the section east of our put-in, from Route 126 is a good spring run.
