So Saturday we went out to the Little Mag for a paddle. What a beautifull lake.
Nice size island for camping or lunches and every inch of the shoreline keeps you engaged. Some good bass fishing for the misses and enough paddling to keepyou in shape. The lake is probably 3 km long or so I figure. A long winding channel connects the Little Mag with Magaduavic Lake itself.
We were told that the lake would otherwise be empty but there was a bass tournament there that day, to our benefit. What a great bunch of fellas. They fished the day and gathered at a local camp for a barbeque afterwards. My dogs (the fetching PHENOM) kept them entertaine dand they kept us entertained with a heavy dose of NB flavour.
Anyways, nice day, I'll definately be back soon with more bait. Pete

Had a chance to paddle little and big magaguadavic lake this weekend. Had 2 very calm nice days for lake travel. Always wanted to paddle these lakes and after realizing no rivers up north were canoeable, Alicia and I decided to come here. Had a nice quiet trip. Only met one boater on the little mag lake. Heres some pics of the lake. www.flickr.com/photos/22077316@N00/sets/ For some reason, the link won't work because it will not include anything after the @ sign in the address. Copy and paste will work though.

man you've got a great eye for photographs and you must have one helluva nice camera. those are some great pics.
nice looking group of people as well, great canoeing pics but i didn't spot one can.
despite the apparent lack of beverage you all look like you're having a great time and I LOVE that reflector oven. My master apple pie experience draws me towards one of those setups, that's pretty sweet.
Thanks for the photos, Pete

Theres never any lack of beverages in our trips Peter. Beer and canoeing go hand in hand. You have any trips planned for the fall? We'll have to hook up for a paddle. I'm definately doing the Miramichi when the water rises and most likely the eel as well. I plan to canoe til freeze up this year. It would be some nice to get on the miramichi in the next couple of weeks with all the leaves changing. Mitchell
