Last Time I did the dungarvon from. Leggie landing all way down , I hated the stretch from renous river down to quarryville bridge! Is there an earlier take out closer to mouth of Dungarvon?

How about the Red Bridge? That is the bailey bridge over the Renous about 3 km downstream of the Dungarvon. Other than someone's yard, I don't know of any other place along there.

There is a steep (ish) hill but people walk down and fish there so there is a trail. It's not too bad- you can check the trail if you park there first. There is room for a few vehicles on the sides of the road leading up to the bridge on both sides as it is a one lane 'temporary' bridge after ice took out the old one in 1970.

The north west corner at the Red bridge is a great pull out. I just did it yesterday after a run from Minors bridge. It's on your left side approaching the bridge, without going underneath. There's a shoreline with a lightly used trail that 2 guys had no issues getting a canoe up. As for parking, there is a paved drive that is seemingly unused, also on the North side of the bridge.
The dungarvon is a beautiful river to run!
