Any opinions on how run-able the SW Miramichi is when the water is this low?
Would LOVE to run from Half Moon to Boisetown this weekend.
I'm not in a hurry and enjoy finding a path ... as long as there is a path to be found.

At 1.2, your path will be on foot!

Kinda. :-)
Paddled the north branch from Train Bridge down to Half Moon.
Water levels that far up were really (really) nice. Saw a few tubers and fishermen on some bends.
Water levels are up today (1.3+) ... so I'm pondering another attempt to make it to Blackville. Really worried about the rock beds below Burnt Hill since I've never seen them in lower water.

Yeah, I like that stretch. Lotta folks don't paddle it because there are no rapids, but that doesn't faze me. I've always wanted to get up even higher, but haven't found a way in yet that isn't gated.
Tickles. are you listening?

Oh yes. I'll see what I can dig up. Maybe a upper Mirimichi canoe trip this fall.
