Has anyone been on rt 625 (Bloomfield Ridge- Cross Creek/Stanley) in the past week. Is the road still closed.... it was in rough shape the 1st week of may.
Our shuttle vehicles will be a car and a van, if the road has not been repaired than we will have to go the long way around.
Jamie
had to try to post this twice.... if it comes up twice ignore it

I drove out this road a few km on Saturday from the Bloomfield side, and didn't see any "road closed" signs. It seemed really dry. I've never been all the way through that road though so I'm not sure where the trouble usually starts.

The trouble starts when the road goes to hell I think it was chip seal for the 1st couple of Km.... where it turns to dirt road is where the sign was.... and the first of many potholes. Jamie You decide dave if you were in on the trip?

It's only a few kms longer to take the main highway 8 to 107 and then over to Stanley. You might even make better time since you can drive faster, and it's easier on your vehicle.

you're probably right Ken.... the $700 vehicle inspection a few weeks after we took that road in May will not be soon forgotten.

For information, the bridge at Nashwaak Bridge from Route 8 to 107 is closed. You would either have to go to Taymouth and the Nashwaak Road to 107, or just on the Route 8 side of the bridge is a gravel road on the roght that will go into Stanley. When are you going? I will be going to Stanley on the weekend and could check the Campbelltown Road (625) for you.

It is actually 66.5 kms to take the Rt 8 shuttle from Bloomfield Bridge to Williamsburg on Rt 107 as opposed to 29 kms on the 625. It would normally be 14 kms less if you didn't have to detour around nashwaak bridge. But if 625 hasn't improved, I don't blame you for taking the Rt 8 shuttle.

You can take the ward settlement road to cross creek then take the second road on the left after the tracks (Armstrong Rd.) It comes out on the #8 just before McGiveny. Camped out there last weekend, the roads pretty good couple of bad spots on the ward.
