Whats everyones plans for the long weekend? I'm still undecided as to where to go. I've already done the Miramichi and I'm saving the St. Croix for when the waters around here are too low. Maybe a 2 day trip somewhere up north like the Gounamitz and the little main Restigouche perhaps. I guess the water levels will be the deciding factor. Mitchell

I once tried to get into the little main Restigouche but the gatekeepers wouldn't let us in. Do you still need a pass to get past the gate?

Probably still might but Arpin can shuttle us to the Gounamitz and I figured I would just continue down the little to his camps the second day.

I plan to run the Miramichi, but water is always a concern. Have you thought of the Nepisiguit? It's lake and spring fed, and high water seems to last there longer than other spots. Unfortunately, I can't find a guage. I plan to head up there if the Miramichi is low.

Yeah I'd really like to do that as well. I'm pretty much game for anything up north.
