Interesting note, there's a spot on the Magaguadavic between Thomaston Corner and Brockway where the river goes in a whirpool circle before an outlet 90 degrees to the left. The banks of this whirpool are steep sandy cliffs, not as steep in the video mind you. A couple of summers ago a bunch of us wasted an hour dragging the smallest kayaks up the bank and sliding down the sand into the water, it usually ended badly but it was good for a few laughs, no injuries.
