While I was researching Crooked Creek, I looked at Point Wolfe River, just west of Fundy National Park. Has any daredevil kayaked this stream? It looks steep, but it might be wide enough.
On the other hand, I don't want to tempt anyone into tackling a stream beyond their ability. I know it's too steep for me, just by looking at the contour lines.

I have no idea if anyone has paddled it, but I've been wondering the same thing myself. Me and a good buddy did scout upriver this past summer, and sure enough I did see some nice rapids. I imagine there is some wild water further up. We also hiked down Bennet brook to where it meets the river, also a wild ride. It was during a big rain we had in August and things were looking good. I would definitely love to try this one out someday!

liquidmonkey told me:
With the exception of a few rapids, it would be a blast in a canoe in high water (say 1.2 or higher on the PW gauge on Environment Canada site) There would be three?? mandatory portages in a canoe and the rest would be good class 3 boogie water. The East BRanch PW river has a spectacular 30 foot waterfall pouring into the PW at the confluence and directly upstream on the PW is one of the class 4/5 drops.
