I had a random paddle today! Luckily me and two good buddies were out offroading on Mountain Road next door to Kings Landing, freddy area. We came across the east branch of Longs creek, it was running pretty well and has some fun rapids. I bushwacked my boat upriver for about 10 mins. Put in just below a small double ledged falls, and paddled down through some fun chilled out rapids... it was just short and sweet. There is one little slide under the mountain road bridge... had my buddies watching and filming... my support team lol! I'm going to hike it tomorrow morning to see what's way up it... There were only a few small branches coming across the stream, a nice clean paddle... The scenery was awesome... almost felt like a gorge in one section... Don't get the image this was full tilt whitewater, lucky if one section was class 3, but nonetheless it was a blast!
Maybe I'll do the whole thing in the next couple of days!
Great run for a small boat, like my playboat.
Simple and fun for a late afternoon!
