Sorry! I guess this post shouold have been here.
I got a call from an uncle from the Tobique, who's wife's brother found an old whitewater kayak with my name in it. Thing is, I haven't owned the kayak in more than 15 years. He found it in a fish fence or counter and relayed the message on to my uncle and then on to me. I won't tell you where he found it but it WASN'T in the Tobique area. That's makes the whole story and "small world" thing so funny!
Soooo, if you lost your kayak, can tell me where you lost it, and tell me what kind of boat it is, I can tell you where to find it.
Spread the word.
Cheers

Hey LiquidMonkey,
Here's an ad I've been posting with some information:
LOST: Two Whitewater Kayaks
A friend and I were kayaking on the upper part of the Pollett river (before the normal launch site) and were dumped from our kayaks near the water falls. We have been looking since Tuesday (April 28), but haven't found anything.
We lost: 1 Black Whitewater Kayak 1 Red Whitewater Kayak 2 Paddles 1 Neoprene Glove 1 Neoprene Boot
I am not sure of the names/make, but could identify them if needed. The person who I was paddling with is the owner, he might know more information about the make and model.
Thanks!
William Lane

Sorry, this isn't the river the boat was found on.
That said, whenever you're paddling the upper Pollett (what I would call it) beware from Gordon's falls down to the next bridge. There are some significant rapids and falls that shouldn't be taken lightly (including a couple serious class 5's).
Hope you find your boats.
Cheers

Wow! A missing boot and a missing glove along with missing boats and paddles... seems like the river won this round.
