This stream sure has been high in the last week. It reached its highest point today of the whole year including the spring run off. It was almost as high last friday night when we ran it after work. There was actually some pretty good sized waves on it as all of the large rocks were under water. I've run this stream before in the spring and it wasn't nearly as high or fun. I also had a good chance to try the canyon out and was very impressed. I aimed for the biggest waves and only took about a gallon of water the whole trip. Handles very nice solo for a boat this size too. If we get this thundershower tonight it should be really be good and high tomorrow. Anyway, if anyone is itching to get out, it only took us an hour from kingsley to alongside rt. 105.

Mitchell, Did you get any pictures? I was biking by there yesterday (Aug. 1) and it looked low, but still runnable. Here's a pic I took from the stone bridge: I'm glad you're getting out still. I don't have a car, so I'm stuck. Ken

Ken, No I didn't get any pics of the nasis this year. Its down too low again now, but another heavy rain will bring it back up in no time. A quick way to check water levels is to look upstream from the rt 105 bridge and if all rocks are under water it will be pretty good going. It can still be run if only one rock is showing as well. Once you get to the Kingsley, just make sure the water is above the base of the pier.
