How was everyone's canoe season this past year? Did you get out as much as would like? Any memorable or favorite trips of the year? Any plans for the '07 canoe season? Its hard for me to pick a favorite. I had many great trips, each with their own special occasions. I finally found a good website and got around to posting some pics of the trips I've done over the last couple years. Have a great new year everyone. mitchellamos.spaces.live.com/Mitchell

Beautiful site, Mitchell. Thanks for posting it. I've added a few links to your blog, and thanks for linking to me as well.
Ken
Ps ... I couldn't open your album on the Little Magaguadavic.

Hey Mitchell, Cool pictures. Burnt Hill looks a lot different when the water is up. Your new boat featured in the St. Croix album has some wicked rocker.
2006 was a pretty cool year for me. I did my first solo trip on the Chip lakes in June. Ken was nice enough to post my trip report and link to the pictures on this site. Also got in a run down the Miramichi in early June. I look forward to more paddling adventures in 2007. Take it easy, Tom
P.S.: I was able to open the Little Maguadavic album. Great reflector oven. Is it homemade?

Thanks Ken and Tom. I'll be sure to put some pics up of my overnight ski camping trip when we get some snow. I would like to try a solo trip in the new year as well. Something quite similar to what you did Tom. That area is a nice place to start, being fairly close to other people in case of any trouble. The reflector oven is homemade. I came across the site a while back, www.blazingpaddles.on.ca/outdoor_cooking/reflector/index.htm, and after seeing Kyles oven and understanding how it worked, I decided to make my own. Kyle let me use his as a template which made things a little easier. All in all, it is quite simple to make and doesn't take much more than a couple hours. I'm also impressed how light and compact it is. Mitchell
