Anyone up for paddling this weekend? Should be lots of water in the major river systems. An overnight night would be nice too.

Love to, but i'm helping my son move this weekend. Hope you go ... careful, the Nashwaak is flooded out at spots.

Ken,
We put in Napadogan Stream under the bridge on the Mill Rd and took out in Stanley. That is a nice little stream. We were lucky in that the wind was at our backs all day so we made good time. Fried up some moose steak and onions for lunch below Rocky Brook. Looks like more rain coming this weekend so may get a chance to run the upper nashwaak before things freeze up.

It looks as though we are going to be blessed with high water again this weekend. I will be doing a day trip for sure if anyone is interested on Saturday. I have to get my fill before it all freezes over. Later,
Mitchell

I may be up for something. Any interest in an overnighter? Did you do your november miramichi run yet?

I guess it really doesn't matter....either this weekend or next for an overnighter as the water will be high enough for the Miramichi either weekend. If we get enough rain though, we may be able to run the North Oromocto for an overnight trip too. Let me know what you're thinking.

I drove by the North Oromocto by Hoyt on Saturday, and the water looked darn low, believe it or not. I'm looking forward to your trip report, Mitchell.

Ken,
We didn't get the rain we were supposed to on Friday so the Oromocto was out of the question. The only other option was the Miramichi but with the amount of wind and rain we had, I am happy we decided not to go. We are however going to run the Miramichi this coming weekend as long as another hurricane doesn't pass through.
