Paddling on Upsalquitch river this weekend?

Does anybody know somebody who was paddling on either branch of the Upsalquitch River this weekend and hasn't returned home yet? We've been hearing reports of a missing couple in a canoe and there has been sightings of gear and was wondering if anybody from this board knew of anybody paddling up north this weekend? I haven't had a chance to call my DNR uncle yet to see if any of this is true, but I've heard reports of the salmon camps being on the lookout.

We got a massive amount of rain this weekend and the river has risen over 4 feet in the past few days. Not good for anybody not used to the river.

Well good news! The lost canoers were found; wet but alive. They lost everything, including the canoe, but not their lives.

I've also heard stories that a cooler was found that had 20 untagged grilse in it. So is it from them? Not sure, but it's suspicious.
