Had a great day last friday, went from Durham to Marysville. Everything was good till we hit the Marysville dam, my friends ended up broadsiding a rock with a coleman it folded immediately pinning one guys leg so hard that he thought it was broke. Both made it to shore alright, but the boat was still pinned, had to wade out up stream and float down to it, took everything we had but it came free. They lost a rod, paddle, beer, clothes, pride and a camera phone. Being battered and cold they decided to climb the bank to river street and walk to kane. I was left with a free swim and 2 boats, I held the front rope of the coleman with my foot and made it through the rest easily in the kayak. The coleman was easily fixed, my friends leg was only badly bruised and we got a couple of river lessons.

Sounds like a typical outing for you hillbilly. Did the coleman bend back into shape alright? We still haven't hooked up yet for a paddle.

Yeah, there are chunks of concrete left over from the old dam in those rapids, and they're jagged and won't let you slide over them like a round rock will. Glad no one was hurt, sorry about your stuff.
