We put in at the head of the river, off bear trap road I believe. Not sure the name of the road where the I shot this. It was the first bridge we came across. It was a dirt road...
Mitchell, Kyle, Dino, and Sharon camped overnight Saturday near Molly's Rock. Mark and I went on to Benton and pulled out there.

I was up checking out some land near the Eel River this morning and i noticed a great series of ledges at the bailey bridge on what I believe was the Harten Settlement rd. Looked like a great little run. This section is on the upper part of the river in near Maxwell or 1st Eel Lake. Does anyone know what the water levels is at now compared to the water level when it is possible to run the Eel. There appears to be quite a bit of water in the river at the momment. Jamie Think these are the ledges that Dave and the group ran. I noticed them before while in the area. Jamie

Great video again Dave. You will entering the Water Walker Film Festival before long.
We had some great whitewater on the lower Eel today. The gorge after the falls was a turbulent frothy freight train of water. No one even considered them today and we had some good paddlers with us. The run from there down was exciting as well.....big waves and sharp turns. Another great weekend of weather and paddling.
