Date: April 22, 2008 Water Level: 1.2 North Oromocto @ Tracy Crew: 4 Boats, 9 People Length: X miles Elevation Drop: X Feet
We decided to do an evening paddle last night. We put in at the Charters Settlement road at about 5:30pm, right after work. The river was fast, and bushy too. There were alders everywhere. Within 2 minutes of the start of the adventure one boat capsized due to trying to avoid a tree over the stream.
The trees were getting kind of annoying, but after going under the 101, it got a bit better and the river was slower and wider. We took out off of the Bryonson road an hour or two later.
Was a good evening activity, a nice local river too. Beats watching Calgary get beat in the playoffs! Will post pictures soon.
