I was thinking about maybe doing a night or two on these lakes toward the end of September or early October. Does anyone know if the water levels of these lakes can be too low to do? Could I put in at the lake in McAdam and continue on from there? (Basically follow the first part of the route described here: www.nanookofthenashwaak.com/chiplakes.shtml). If anyone has any comments or opinions on these lakes, I'd like to hear them.

Hey Dave, I don't think you'd have any problems with water levels on the Chip Lakes. If you put in on Wauklahegan Lake you might have to portage around the outlet leading into First Lake. Other than that you should have no problems. If you launch in Modsely Lake you will have to portage to get into Wauklahegan Lake as there is a dam at the beginning of Diggity Stream. The portage (to the right of the dam) is well marked and maintained.
Enjoy your trip, Tom
P.S.: Your video of Jamie on Little Falls was excellent!
