I'm planning on making a trip down the lower Nashwaak, putting in just above Stanley and taking out in Taymouth. Anyone know how long that might take? I am also going with a couple of people who haven't canoed before, how difficult would that stretch of the river be on the long weekend in May?
Thanks
Scott

Done this many times in various water levels. It will take 3 to 6 hours depending on water levels and wind. A couple of flat spots can be a pain on a windy day. Can be a little rough at the Stanley bridge, McLaggon bridge and the Nashwaak bridge(they are replacing this now) and also a stretch after the McLaggan. It should be at a decent level for intermediates this weekend after this snow and rain. Have fun.
