I've seen a few posts on this river. It looks like you put in at Little Lake and take out in Tracey? How long of a run is this? Anyone know how much water is needed on the North Oromocto gauge? I see Kyle said 1.5 was good. Anyone know the minimum required?

I did it at 1.2 and had more than plenty. I did one time in august after some hard rain and the gauge said a little over one. from oromocto lake to the falls was not bad except the outlet of the lake was a drag. that should have been my first clue that it was going to be a long weekend.we had camped at the falls that night and almost walked the rest of the river, the water had droped somewhat overnight and there was no more long beaver ponds or decent pools to float through we tried to gain momentum in the few metres we could paddle at one time and glide over the shallow spots. Drinking beer was pretty much out of the question as it was taking quite a while to get to our entended takeout. It is a decent river though I just make damm sure when i run it that there will be water to spare under my boat cause once this river starts to drop it drops fast.
