May 26th, 2022 - we launched from the bridge about 8 km above the Kedgwick Forks. I know my way around, but never know for sure what to call each road, but from the Kedgwick River Road, stay left at Rapids Depot "Y", stay straight past the road into the Forks (road in on your right) and stay straight until the next "Y", left goes to Camp 28, you stay right and within a few kms you come to a bridge, drive across, turn left and there is your put in. The gauge at Kedgwick/Restigouche was 1.6M. Come 3 days later it was 3.4M, so needless to say we got off the river Friday night. Anyhow, the water level was perfect, fast, nice standing waves, no need to find channel, no scraping, etc. I'd say you'd be good down to around 1M on that stretch. It's fairly small, always descending, not a ton of places to stop. We ran it straight through to the Forks aside from when one novice kayaker hit a big rock along the bank and decided he'd take a swim. For those who feel the Forks to Rapid Depot is a little short for a 1st day on the Kedgwick, it adds just enough extra river and a beautiful one at that. It was 30 km to Rapids Depot and another 30 to 1Mile where we ended our trip. <input type="hidden" id="hippowiz-ass-injected" value="true"><input type="hidden" id="hvmessage-toextension-listener" value="none">

Thanks, Rob! I love the forested hills of the Kedgwick.
