May 21st, 2022 - We did the SE Upsalquitch from below the Upsalquitch Gorge down to the Flying Eddy. We were in 12' kayaks. It’s a great run. Water level was 1.6M on the Upsalquitch Gauge and I’d say a perfect, deep enough we never scraped, never had to find the channel and fast (we avg just over 10kmph), nice standing waves and no dangers (intermediate run). It's only 16 km so a quick trip, but you can scoot down to the Forks (SE Falls are about 3-4 km below Flying Eddy - C II - stay hard right) and onto the main Upsalquitch. Be sure you are BELOW the gorge to start, the road runs off of Ramsey Br. Road. You'll know you found it b/c the river is raging coming out of the gorge and you'll see Ramsey Brook just below the road on the left. It's a gnarly road to the river, 4WD a must. And very hard to turn a full size truck if you don't make it all the way to the river, but there is one spot about 300' from the river where you could do a 7-10 point turn (LOL). Once you launch (at this level) there are few spots to stop if at all until 8-10 km down river.
