Hi : I have signed up to participate in St John River Brigade July15-22. It is part of 10 brigades going on across Canada.
I am bringing a voyageur canoe to the east coast and hope to get enough people from there to make up a team. I need paddlers to complete team make-up.
Experience is not a pre-requisite. If you have paddled before this is quite easy especially going down a river. These boats can seat up to 8 people.

The approximate costs to be part of the team are dependent on how many join team. I would like to have 8 possibly 9 members. To register it would cost 250$ to be in brigade, this goes to organizing committee. After that I need $100 each to pay for the cost of renting and transporting voyageur canoe across Canada.
If we share meals it would add another 50$ each
If you want a voyageur outfit- I have one I am using for 3 other brigades, it is 50$ for shirt, sash and bandana.

July 16 Florenceville to Woodstock 44 km
July 17 Woodstock to Nackawic 48 km
July 18 Nackawic to Fredericton 25 km (canoes will need to be trailered around the Mactaquac Dam)
July 19 Fredericton to Gagetown 60 km
July 20 Gagetown to Oak Point 40 km
July 21 Oak Point to Saint John 37 km
July 22 Paddle thru Reversing Falls to Saint John
City Centre 16 km
