Hey folks
Was looking for some help on planning a trip on the Nepisiguit for early June. We are planning on starting at Bathurst lake and want to do a 2 night/ 3 day trip. Does anybody know of a good ending point? I was thinking of Popple Depot but a few people I have talked to said that would only be a 1 night/2 day trip.
Thanks!

Indian falls Depot? On river left before the rapids and falls.

If your planning on paddling for 3 full days Popple Depot would be to short. Heath steel bridge on the 430 would be a good take out. the upper part runs comfortably fast with out two much dead water.
This is from my memories from about 7 years ago but I think we would have left Bathurst lake around noon, first night campsite was a couple hours paddle from Popple Depot. Next night we camped at Indian falls at the start of them. You should get into heath steel bridge around 4/6pm the following day.
We did not fish and typically don't mind paddling 25 to 35kms a day.
If you do go to Heath steel bridge you will either need to run some of Indian falls or portage all of them.
As Ken suggested you can take out on River left at the end of Indian falls there is a road into there and a few camps.
The section to Popple Depot was pleasant and fast. After Popple is where you will run into some fast fun long class 3 rapids. Indian falls is spread out over 2 to 3 KMS with the last ledge being the biggest and a prudent portage. We ended up running it successfully.
(Use my memories at your own risk)

Great! Thanks! We are planning on next weekend or the following. Gonna try Mount Carleton to Heath Steele Bridge. Anybody know if there is a way to find out water level for the run? We don't want to get into anything too crazy. Planning on going solo in a discovery 169 and doing lots of fishing.
