Hey folks, just moved to the Fredericton area in the fall from Manitoba. Bought a used Discovery 169 and have been accumulating gear. Would like to get out once or twice a week this summer so I get good. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard of people going from Durham bridge to the bridge near the mouth of the St. John. What is this run like? Also going to go to Woodstock and put in near Red Bridge and go to the college. Those are the only two runs I've really heard of. Anyways, hope to meet some other paddlers around, I'm always down for day trips. Cheers!

The Nashwaak is a nice calm paddle, no rapids. Several options for put in & take out depending on how much time you have.
Check out the section on here called have you paddled such & such a river for some ideas that aren't to far away.
Enjoy, NB is a beautiful province.

Hello friend!
If you're feeling a little more adventurous you can put in in Stanley just behind the park and paddle down to Taymouth. It's a little faster and there is a small set of rapids under the bridge in Stanley. One of my favourites!
