Most of us have a dream river, one we will paddle someday when we win the lottery. What's yours?
I'll start by confessing my dream river: The Grande Ronde in Oregon, USA.

Ken, does this mean you are out of NB rivers? I'm thinking arctic for me... How do you possibly pick just one?

Well, yeah, there aren't any new rivers to explore for the first time in NB, unless I added in a touch of hardship and a greater probability of swamping... there are a lot of little rivers I would like to run, but this river in Oregon has scenery, warm weather, and just the right degree of difficulty for me. Plus I don't think it's been trashed, and it's not dammed, and there are no towns along its 90-mile length. I think it could be run without having to restock grub and drink halfway if you pack your boat right.
I'm not dissing the Miramichi or the Nepisiguit or any other NB river. But I'm not sure I'd go to the Arctic, I've heard stories of skeeter clouds and ice-choked lakes and multi-mile portages that discourage me a little. I like my comforts and warm weather too.
I picked just one, cuz maybe if the stars (and the little lottery balls) line up right, I can focus on that one, and then another dream river.
