Location: NW Digdeguash - the gorge Paddler: Derek Safety: Aaron, Matt Water levels: lower end of good for NW, though the main Dig was much higher.
This isn't so much a trip report as things turned out to be more swimming than paddling! When we scouted the gorge the day before I had a good idea of the line I wanted, but next day the water had dropped and I should have looked more carefully. Ended up hitting a rock at the top of the gorge which slowed me down and allowed for me to be pushed to river left. From there it's just straight swimming (: This is the longest I have stayed under water, and the longest swim I've had to do. Even if it turned into a fail, it's still a blast getting out and trying new things. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while now, and I will definitely be back to try it again (hopefully in warmer conditions) Anyway, thought even a carnage clip might be fun to have a look at during the colder months.
