Biff and I went on the Nashwaak from Roberts Restaurant to the mouth yesterday, the weather was great, and the water level was fine, 18.2. It took most of the afternoon, what with refreshment breaks and so forth. No rapids of course, but a day on the water, what can I say. Saw an eagle swoop a fish from the water in front of our boat, with a crow harassing it, a Canada goose, lots of colorful ducks. Met only a few other folks in canoes on the water.

I did the stretch from Durham to Penniac by myself yesterday afternoon as well and never met another canoe. I also did Little river on saturday...could have used a bit more water but it wasn't terrible.

How long does it take to run from Taymouth to the mouth in Freddy?

If the water's high and fast. it should take a good afternoon. It depends on whether you take long refreshment breaks. I've run from Stanley to Fredericton in a day, but the sun was setting as I pulled in at the Fort Nashwaak.
