Lookin to hit the Nash Stream via canoe tomorrow and wondering if its worth the venture. Its a fun lil rip in the canoe when the waters right. Already wrapped one canoe around the big rock just below Esteys Bridge when we guessed wrong. Salvaged the canoe though. She still runs like a champ ;D

You might end up dragging your canoe a bit. Water is only .3m on the hydrometric gauge. Different people have their own preferences, but .6 would be the minimum in my opinion. Check out water levels here: www.wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/graph/graph_e.html?stn=01AK006If you go, hope you have fun!

When I last went, the gauge read .5, and we had an excellent run. I was in a canoe, I presume you were in a kayak. Maybe you need more water for a kayak than a canoe?
In any case, good luck getting out there after a summer cloudburst.

I've run it at .45 at the lowest in a kayak. You were still floating, but only just. A lot of deadwater paddling at the end, and some of the sweepers required you pull out and walk around. I've also run it as high as 1.1 which was intimidating, but still safely doable depending on what trees have been washed into the thing.
