looking for any info/maps etc about getting into the upper river area and then the river details to the restigouche. Can't seem to be able to find reliable maps anywhere..any help would be greatly appreciated
And those falls are about 5-6 miles below the Forks, and are very doable. There are also a second set of "rapids" after you've reached the village of Upsalquitch, if you are planning on going all the way to the Restigouche. Most canoers take out at the bridge in Upsalquitch though in the summer, but many keep going in the spring. The river is running quite high right now because of all the darn rain we've been getting. We were planning a trip from the 10 Mile salmon fence next weekend, but are going to wait a few weeks now due to scheduling problems.
Let me know if you need any more info. I'm very familiar with the NW Upsalquitch and the main Upsalquitch..... it flows right past my door.
