Does anyone have any maps of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway 95mile run ? we're trying to plan a last minute trip for next week and need to find maps quick.
Thanks, Pete

Pete:
I have a map of the North Maine Woods that shows the roads, access points and campsites. It doesn't show any river features like Allagash Falls, though. PM me or phone me and I can let you have it.
You'll need to find a guage to determine whether there's enough water to run. A Google or two will help you there.
I tried it once, but we smashed at Chase Rapids in eggshell canoes. We made it down the first twenty feet before broaching.

it's tight but undoable we decided just due to lack of enough time to confidently plan anything.
I got an email back from an outfitter in the area who said they like to see the CFS in Allagash village itself at least at 300 before they consider a run.
