I see Easter weekend is later this year. The last three years we were paddling during this weekend.....hopefully we can this year too. It would be nice to start things off with a long weekend overnight trip. Of course, it depends on how much ice is gone by then. Maybe somewhere in the southern part of the province? Any thoughts?

Hey Mitchell, not sure I'd be able to do an overnighter, but if you guys are heading out for a day trip somewhere I'd love to maybe tag along with my kayak. Did you spend any time at the UNB pool over the winter? Between separated ribs, and too busy schedule I never even got in once Maguaguadavic was fun last year from Pomeroy to Second Falls. Have you ever run the upper parts of the Digdeguash river?

Yeah sure dbradford. It may be that we can only do a day trip and if so, I will let you know. I never bothered with the UNB pool this year...too far away now. I've never tried the Digdeguash river yet but I am told it is quite fun.

I'd be up for an overnighter or day trip too. Is the ice out by then?

Some parts of the province will definately be open. I think the Pollet is open now or will be by the weekend. I'd really like to do the North branch of the Oromocto. We'll see.

I am going to scout the North Branch Oromocto this week for an overnight trip. If not, any other suggestions? I am also thinking of running the Tay on Sunday.

Well, I'm up for an overnighter if we can do it Friday/Saturday. I think Mark and Jason are probably in too. Magaguadavic and Digdeguash will probably be open.

Any Saturday trips, if so I'm interested.
PS drove across the Eel River on my way through Meductic and the River was solid with ice. Head Pond was solid ice too.
