Just bought this reproduction of W.F. Ganong's 1899 map of New Brunswick Aboriginal Canoe and Portage Routes. Put it in a frame and it looks great. When I look at it I start daydreaming of some great trips that would be possible by retracing some of these these ancient routes. To get your own click on the following link. Thanks for the link, tgneal. I just ordered one too. I wouldn't mind retracing some of those routes myslef! but being the history buff that I am, it'll be a great addition to my "stuff".

I got the map. Looks good on the wall! I like the original micmac and maliseet names of places. It's interesting to see how some places we know today got their name.
