I had been thinking of canoein the Tay over the weekend (did it last year around this time and it was a blast!) Where did you lose canoe? I remember the raunchiest spot being right near the end at Taymouth... Would love to see the video footage:-)

A co-worker of mine spotted a canoe that is likely mine in the Saint John River earlier today. It was in the tree line with all the other junk from the flooded river. Saw it across from the gas station at the intersection of Wilsey Rd and lincoln Rd., just down from the boat club. Canoe went back under a few minutes after.
From what he could see it was in rough shape.

I ran the nashwaak last Sunday, didn't see any strays but was told yesterday someone spotted a canoe upside down in the nashwaak on Monday were the Dunbar empties into it. I'm running it again today from Stanley to F'ton, I keep an eye out for it. Also was told someone found a red one on the Tay River...tis the season of missing canoes.

Hey Jamie,
Were you using airbags when you lost your canoe? I thought I saw something floating from your canoe on the video. They would help keep the canoe closer to the surface as it floated downstream and might help with spotting it.
Hope you find it soon, Tom

Hey Jamie,I found your canoe today while runing the nashwaak from Stanley to Fredericton. Couldn't free it from it's location but I have a GPS Way point for you. I sent an email to your address with my phone number.

I have a GPS and canoe to either lend or help you out if necessary. Carm Ran the North Rusagonis this afternoon and a widowmaker didn't cause any deaths, but killed my pride...

All my gear was still in the canoe! "Dry" bag was tied around the thwart but full of water saoked clothes. The barrel was still loosely strapped in too. Even had a paddle floating freely inside too.

Jamie,
Hey, a happy ending! Thanks for the entertainment on YouTube, by the way.
It's great to read how everybody kept an eye out for your boat. and helped you retrieve it. We riverfolk look out for each other.

Found another one on the Nashwaak on Sunday May 18, just below Hells Gates...this one didn't fair as well...it was wrapped around a rock in the middle of the river.

Hells Gates is 1.5 miles below were Rocky brook dumps into the nashwaak. I have a picture of the boat wrapped around the rock but I don't know how to add it to the post.
