So I attended the whitewater school this past weekend in Henniker, New Hampshire. Jim Michaud, picture below was my instructor. He's shown here running Sweet's Tooth on the Sugar River this afternoon, beauty day. He let me borrow his Mad River Outrage which was outfitted with 2 bilge pumps from a sailing boat ! The outlets are shown below: members.localnet.com/~mkcooper/misc/pump outlet.jpg[/img] He had a battery in a pelican case behind the seat and 2 pumps on the floor behind the seat: And a switch on the front of the seat ! What a hoot ! I did take on some water and it was a trip to keep on going and hit the switch Be a bugger to rig up, but he's retired. One more shot of Jim coming out of Sweet's Tooth: Just thought I'd share that with ya's, pretty nifty. He paddles open boat with kayakers often and just rigged this up so they wouldn't have to stop and wait for him to bail. Pete

That is much more my style of canoeing than these guys, I'll never get into one of those sawed off canoes again. Amen.
