Hello all ! I am delighted I found this message board. My partner and I moved to Moncton recently from Quebec. We were part of a canoe club there and paddled or canoe-camping every weekend and took part in a few canoe expeditions in Northern Quebec. We are at ease in class-2 rapids and enjoy a bit of action although just being on a river would be better than a Moncton backyard ! We do not know the NB rivers well enough as well as put in and take off information to safely plan trips on our own at this point. If you are interested to bring us along and or to introduce us to your group and/or have a canoe club to recommend to us, please send us a message. juliec@nb.aibn.com

Julie,
Welcome! I'm sure you'll find lots of inviting and informative folks here. When we plan some trips that involve our better halves we'll be sure to let you all know. Those trips are usually a little more subdued thatn the norm !

On every Tuesday there use to be a canoe club that would meet at the Irishtown park and go canoeing. I will try to report back a name and phone number for you. I myself canoe a great deal. Actually I am a licenced fishing guide so spending time on the river is my thing. For starters You can check out the Pollett River Run. You can visit this site for more info. pollett.albert-county.com/I live in Riverview. I canoe the Coverdale River which is sometimes known as the little river.... No big surprises,,, Just a pretty little river . The put in is at the Nixon Road, the take out is at the Coverdale Road. It takes about 3 hours to float down. The ice is disappearing of the Coverdale River. I hope to be canoeing in a week or two. Maybe someday we will coordinate something around our very busy life. Have fun Ray

Hey Julie; Angela and I are from Riverview too and we know most of the local spots as well as some not so local... We can be contacted through our website; adventureswithlloyd.batcave.net/e-mail and everything is on it as well as a bit of info and photos on the trips we do. Almost all of the stuff in the photo section is local water.
