Did Nassis Stream last night, water was good, just over the footing a few inches at Estey Bridge. No big surprises around any of the corners but probably will be some next year. Maybe I will take a 6 pack, sled and chainsaw this winter and do a bit of clearing. Going to give Newcastle Stream a go Saturday. Brrrrrr.

Careful, folks say it's narrow and twisty. I'd live to read a trip report!

Got in Newcastle Stream about noon saturday back Tracy Road and took out at the stone bridge in Minto about 3. A little twisty but know big concerns. Wouldn't want to go much lower. There was a beaver dam with a two foot drop that was fun. This would be fast in higher water.

Yeah it was a quick trip. About 3 hours from the bridge on the Tracy Rd to the last bridge in Minto. Quickwater with no rapids. A nice couple of caves about 30 mins into the trip. I posted some pics on my site. Pics of the caves turned out blurry. mitchellamos.spaces.live.com

I think the cave is called the "Devil's Oven". I've gone all the way to Grand Lake on this stream. The water was high, and not too long after the last bridge in Minto, the water got really wide and slow. Not a bad paddle as long as you're not in a hurry. Actually, this stream should have been on my list of rivers I've swam ;-)
