The shock cord on a pole from my Eureka Northwoods 4 broke. Replacement poles cost 87 bucks plus tax. Anyone out there have a spare pole?

If it is just the shock cord, you can usually pull the ends from the poles with a set of pliers or two, then change out the cord very cheaply. Worked for mine.

Get A wire twice the length of two pole sections. Tie the new shock cord to the wire. Pull the wire through the pole sections one at a time. Tie off when complete.

Hey Riveraddict, It was good advice, but these poles are one-piece, and there is no end-piece to screw off. So I'm gonna bite the bullet and order new poles. At least I'll have lots of spare pieces now!

Dammit Eureka... you could hacksaw the end off, insert a bolt with a loop, attach the new shock cord, then apply exopy? $87 for poles seems steep to me for something which is bound to wear out or break.

Yeah well I ain't the handy typa guy. I got the tent for 10 bucks at a yard sale and I like it a lot. Maybe I'm throwing good money after bad, but I'm hoping not.
