Hi all,
Looking for river suggestions for April/May for intermediate paddlers, 24 yrs of experience. We're coming from NS and are looking for a 3-4 day trip that is max 2 hrs from Moncton. Have done trips in 3-4 day trips in NS including the Tobeatic River system, Liscomb river (you definitely need a kayak or covered canoe), St. Mary's, and many, many other short trips along SW NS. Any suggestions would be most welcome! We can provide tips on rivers in NS.
Thanks!

Hey, classic NB paddle would be Main Southwest Miramichi from Juniper( put in at the municipal park) to Boisetown. Can easily be done in 4 days, lots of campsites. Depending on snow melt/ice out and run off water levels we have done this as early as 1st week in May( April can happen depending on the winter). Mostly 1's and 2's, Burnthill can be a real class 3+ if the water is high enough. No portaging, lots of rock gardens, a few ledges and very little still water. Have used O'Donnels for shuttle in the past.
St Croix River is another option, we start on Spednic lake to drag the trip to 5 days. Get out at Grand Falls. Heritage river so designated campsites(have to stay on canadian side) and some silly rules because it is the border with the US.
